I think sometimes...well...a lot of times, we place God in an itty bitty box; we don't realize how great big of a God He is. We very often limit Him from doing exceedingly, abundantly above all things - according to the power that works within US. (Ephesians 3:20-21: That power in us is the same power that rose Jesus from the dead, so surely He can do some things!)
Let me tell you a story:
I work from home but I also do a little hustling on the side. I set five hours a day to side hustles outside of what I do from home. This particular day, I asked God to favor my day a certain way. That was in the beginning of the day. I thanked Him, reminded Him of His Word to me and just without a hint of doubt - expected it to manifest somewhere along the day.
Hours later, it hadn't happened. I reminded this great power (Yahweh) of my desire and the use of His ability to provide it based on several scriptures. I didn't hear His Spirit speak initially, so I just praised and continued on. Minutes later, He said, "You think just because it's not done yet it's not coming."
My response initially was a laugh...I shook my head and said, "No, Father." So that solidified my faith in this promise. I had asked for this as a child and was waiting on my Daddy to provide His promises. Along the day, He talked to me and I constantly heard the word "favor." I praised as I waited and continued to do hustles in right attitude and patience. And honestly, I'd forgotten about it.
I made it home and my husband and I hung out for a while; then - he left out to go to work only to call me an hour later to tell me in a nutshell, he'd received favor in this particular area. LOL. It was the same particular area I'd prayed for myself earlier that day. It was the answered prayer. No, it was the answered prayer MULTIPLIED. I praised God and thanked Him and thought about the day's events.
It hit me. It hit me hard. See. If He would have answered the prayer right then, I would have received the favor, but my husband would not have. Also, had I received the answer, it probably wouldn't have been triple what I asked for! You read that correctly. I asked for a one time blessing in the early part of that day but God not only blessed me with that one time blessing - He blessed my husband and I with that favorable blessings TIMES three! Multiplication!
The symbolic lesson for me here? Well there are a few...
God is not a small time God. No, YAHWEH says the EARTH is the Lord's and the fullness of it, therefore WE are in alignment with everything that the Earth supplies! He is a Father. Many times I don't know how to relate to Him as a Father because of the absentee father figure in my own life but nevertheless I am not a bastard child. He is a protector, provider, and then some! The revelation I received last night was to always expect that He desires to do more. How often do we limit God in His power by just asking for "just enough"? So many times, we have that "Lord if you'll bless me with a roof, a meal, and bills paid I'll be satisfied." I can imagine Him shaking His head like - "That's it?!"
I keep hearing in my spirit the prophecies that have went forward over my life and I tell you - they won't shake! It's like the Holy Spirit is chasing me and reminding me daily, "Remember, you're supposed to have this! Remember I promised you this!" Can we simply in 2019 go beyond asking God for little patty cake provision?! You mean to tell me that the Lord of heaven's armies that parted seas and multiplied food can't take care of you, your needs, and then some! He can. He will.

How can you activate your faith today? What do you need to believe God to do in your life? I'm telling you, with the way of the economy - this crash has long ago been expected to happen. With lay offs, furloughs, etc. we are going to need to learn how to use wisdom and trust God to be the provider He wants to be to us! It delighted His heart I'm sure to have His children praise and thank Him for the favor released. I mean what parent doesn't want their children to know they have their backs?! So if you being evil know how to take care and give good gifts to your children...then how much more does our Father in heaven know how to bless us?! Trust Him as a Father.
Challenge - Find scriptures that you can stand on that will help you place your trust in God's promises for your life! You shall have what you say (Mark 11:24) -- that's a starting point! Until next time!
