I pray that eyes of everyone who reads this blog is opened to the truth of this holiday, whether you're a believer or not. I pray that this Word falls on good, fertile ground - that spiritual eyes are opened and spiritual ears are listening. May you fall and experience the deliverance power of the Holy Ghost!
Well, it's the end of October and I'm celebrating the fact that guess what - I have successfully completed FOUR weeks of blogs! Woooohoooooo... major accomplishment for my consistency!
This blog is a follow-up of last week's blog, 'Cause I Thought a "Christian" Said They Were Celebrating Halloween. If you haven't read that, you may want to take a minute and do so because I'm pretty much following up from there.
This week, a day before this evil holiday is being celebrated - I want to break down a few things that I take note to in celebrating this day: symbols.
Symbols are everything. The purpose of a symbol is to represent what one ultimately believes in or stands for. For example, I use the symbol of fire. This represents the consuming fire of Yahweh which has burned me, consumed me. At the same time, because I know what, oh let's say - 666 represents, the mark of the beast; the symbol of man - I wouldn't represent that. Periodt. I don't even like seeing it across my path.
Again, I use the symbol of a leaf with my publishing business. The leaf represents life. My desire for Zoe (which means life) Life CCP is to bring life and healing to every aspect of our clients - so it would be completely unreasonable and even ignorant for me to use, oh saaaay - death *insert side eye*, right?
So, that being said. The demonic realm has it's symbols, as so does the kingdom of heaven. Interesting enough, for those believers that even dare to argue that there isn't "anything" wrong with celebrating Halloween - I have to ask "How can we ignore the symbols that represent this holiday?"; ESPECIALLY when you know what they symbolize in the prophetic or heavenly realm.? Now, I care not about the "origin" that these symbols claim to have; no, I will solely address the prophetic representation.
Let's start with a list shall we?
Witches: Do I really need to say more? I talked last week on witchcraft, so again - if you haven't read that then it may do a lot of justice to read it in regard to what I'm saying about witches. At any rate - as a child of Yahweh, what in common do I have with a witch? What connection do I have with witchcraft? Do we understand the power that is accessed by those that practice? We can't. No, this is not a fear thing. Witches don't scare me. A witch, in the spirit realm, is a direct enemy of mine. Sooo...what should I have to do with a witch or anything that represents one??
Spiders: Another representation of witchcraft in the prophetic realm. I know this not just from studying but also through my own prophetic dreams that the Holy Spirit has allowed me to interpret. So again, what exactly would I have in common with witchcraft? Why would I as a believer be connected to something represented by evil?
Cobwebs: Spiders weave webs. It reminds me of the old saying, "Oh, what a tangled web we weave when we conspire to deceive." Cobwebs represent deception, entrapment, and sure symbolism that witches are indeed operating against your life.
Ghosts. Familiar spirits. Spirits that you can talk to. Access to the demonic realm when the Bible clearly instructs you to not commune with the dead. I gave an example here on Saul and his bold contact with Samuel in the afterlife. It didn't end well with him. Ghosts are souls of the dead. Men separated from their earthly bodies.
Bats. Well, I guess we can start with the fact that, um, bats are animals that are considered defiled. The Bible references them and no, they are not all in halos or represent purity. One source references bats as the "darkness" bird.
Should we go on and give enlightenment to skulls, skeletons, and all the things that resemble DEAD things.
A lot of scriptures come to mind, but one in particular comes to mind and that's to abstain from all appearances of evil. Soooo....I don't know. Maybe I just don't get it. Maybe it's really me but uuuhhhh, in no shape, form, or fashion does Halloween seem like something we, as believers, should partake in. Maybe because we make the witches cute? Maybe because we make it fun? Maybe because we just don't want to be bold enough to separate from the darkness of this world. It reminds me of when a man would say, "Just let me put the tip in" or "Let me just go down on you - that's it."
SIN is SIN, yes and there is "No sin greater than the others." I agree, HOWEVER - there are degrees of consequences. You go playing in the spirit realm and think you're just "having fun" and demons will gladly play with you, your children, your grandchildren, and etc. Demons need permission. When you give them permission - you are no longer in control until deliverance occurs.
I find it more befitting to share another's testimony. Read here the testimony of the ex-satanist who was redeemed from his life as a warlock.
You can read another testimony of his here to specifically address the topic of "costumes" and the changing of our children's identity in doing so.
Lastly, watch an interview here from an ex witch here and a testimony from John Ramirez on Halloween.
We are so desensitized to evil that it hurts!!! I'm tell you... we have to become knowledgeable.
My prayers are with you.
