'Cause I Thought a "Christian" Said They Were Celebrating Halloween

I will be as short and sweet as possible.  By the way, this will be two parts. Perfect timing for the season I say.

I suppose it's worth disclaiming though that this is not a message to witches.  One thing I understand clearly is the power of one's belief in what they practice.  I'm not trying to do anything for a witch except pray for him/her.

But to my brother and sister who proclaim that Yeshua (Jesus) is Lord - I have the following to say for two reasons: 1) It is my obligation as a believer to speak the truth and 2) It is my obligation as a believer to love you enough to desire you know the truth and live the truth in our Lord.

Once again, the scriptures are quite clear on what kind of lifestyles we should live.  The Bible is quite specific on what pleases the Father and what angers him.  One thing that does not please Him is witchcraft.  How do we know this?  Let's take it to the Word.

Exodus 22:18 - Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live

This word witch is the Hebrew word 3784 which is translated kaw-shaf'; a primitive root; properly, to whisper a spell, i.e. to inchant or practise magic:—sorcerer, (use) witch(-craft).

This word "to live" is the Hebrew word 2421 which is translated to live, have life,
remain alive, etc.

So... anyone who is a witch practicing witchcraft, in regards to the WORD should die.  Mind you, these laws were given in the context of the Hebrew community. There were and are expectations of lifestyles among these people, but I'll digress to stay on topic.

Next step...

Let's look at another scripture in regard to such practices:

1 Chronicles 10:13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it

The "familiar spirit" is the Hebrew word 178 which means ones who necromancer, one who evokes the dead or ghost, spirit of a dead one.  I don't know about you, but this to me would mean, hmm... calling "ancestors." Hmm...ok then.

So, let's be clear. A witch is one who who casts spells and practices magic and has a familiar spirit by talking to the spirits of the dead.  For now, I'll skip the entire Halloween lesson but let's go with what we know generally about Halloween.  If you are not familiar with the origin of the holiday then I would suggest learning it.  It is known often as the "day of the dead."  What are we do do with dead people, according to the scripture that is?  It is celebrated with cute little ideologies like trick or treating and carving pumpkins but in the spirit realm - witches are real(Check out this article of witches and their rituals against Donald Trump. You can find several of these as well.)

During the day of Halloween, I have heard testimonies and seen with my own eyes boasts of demonic activity and witches performing rituals in celebration of this day.  (Read here.)

With Halloween, even down to the origin, it's about the merging of the spiritual and physical realm; in other words - accessing familiar spirits which is forbidden in the Bible.  How harmless is it if the Word says witches deserve death?  How harmless is it if the Word says to abstain from even all appearance of evil!

Now, what's tripping me up is the "Christians" who simply disregard all of the scriptural references given when it comes to witchcraft and Halloween to satisfy their fleshly yearnings.  Oh, because of course "we're not perfect" (even though Hebrews says differently but I'll digress again).

I'll put it like this, "He said what He said." Do you have that much disrespect and dishonor for the Spirit of the Most High God that you commit such adultery in your hearts for a day?! Make it make sense to me.  It's like this for me and my husband.  You come at him, it's war behind him.  When I feel like my husband is attacked - you've automatically made yourself against me.  I feel the same when it comes to my Lord.  ANYTHING that is against the KINGDOM of the MOST HIGH GOD is an automatic enemy to me! What is it within us that makes us feel like we can play with the Most High like we do?

Old testament, new testament - it doesn't matter.  Witchcraft, sorcery, familiar spirits (necromancy - which is heavy in our children movies these days), and the likes are ALL heavily present today and we, what are we doing as believers? We are justifying participation in these events because "the kids are just having fun."

So...fun includes opening demonic portals?  Oh wait - just having candy isn't celebrating? So why buy it? Its specifically "Halloween candy."

Putting on a costume and having your children pretend to be another identity - hmmm... that's fun and innocent and not celebrating Halloween exactly how?

I am not understanding how acknowledging one of the most demonic holidays in any shape, form, or fashion is innocent!  How?  In all honesty, please feel free to tell me if we go scripture for scripture vs. this holiday - how do we justify celebrating it?  In the end, it really hurts us.  It hurts our children, because we bring generational curses upon our families to third and fourth generations!  Let's not think about when sex is included in the rituals of the celebration - make that up to ten generations!  Do you see witches honoring the death of Yeshua? Do you ever see a nonbeliever celebrate the birth of Yeshua? Do you see non-believers support the kingdom of Yahweh!?  Why do we play in their world? They're serious!  The only ones not serious are...us!

Stay tuned for next week as I discuss the symbolism of Halloween from a prophetic standpoint - spiders, ghosts, skeletons, etc.  You can also read last week's blog, Illegal Authority: Bold Witches & Scared Christians.  Again, this is not about witches - I don't care to deal with them unless it's necessary.  I have been warned of witches and attacked by witches - I find no delight in their existence neither do I find anything innocent about the misrepresentation of them for "entertainment" purposes.

It's time to be about our Father's business and stand for the Word.
